I hope this helps . Hard to tell without know the exact slider component you are using, but adding this to your CSS should work:
#maxCostSlider {
    margin-left: 20px;
    margin-right: 20px;
}
@media (max-width: 480px) {
    #maxCostSlider {
        margin-left: 20px;
        margin-right: 20px;
    }
}

Why does my mobile site scroll left to lots of white space

Hope this helps From a quick glance at the developer panel, you're using min-width:900px right now, which always keeps a width of 900px, regardless of what the width tag is set to. The easiest fix is to do the following:
#mediacontainer {
  min-width:100%;
  /* other css... */
}
#mediacontainer {
  width:900px;
  max-width:100%;
  /* other css... */
}

may help you . I'm styling the mobile version of my website using CSS, and at the top the menu has a white space. I want this white space to be blank, or blue.
.navbar-inner {
    background-image:none;
    border:none;
}
#fav-navbar-collapse li a {
  background: rgb(230,230,230);
}
