While fetching all links,Ignore logout link from the loop and continue navigation in selenium java

Content Index :

it fixes the issue If you want to leave out the Logout link from the loop instead of creating the List as driver.findElements(By.tagName("a")); as an alternative you can use:
driver.findElements(By.xpath("//a[not(contains(.,'Log Out'))]"));

it fixes the issue The following method clicks on all links of our application home page and validates they are working. The problem is the logout link on the page, as you can imagine once I click it they test fails. Is there a way I can ignore or remove the check of the logout link? FYI the logout is the first element in the array. Any help is appreciated , If you know it's the first, then add a count and skip the first:
i = 0;
for (String l : linkTexts) {
    if (i > 0) {
        // ...

Hope this helps You can use Xpath to get all the elements containing the attributes href / src.
List<WebElement> list=driver.findElements(By.xpath("//*[@href or @src]"));
       WebDriver driver = new FirefoxDriver();

       List<WebElement> list=driver.findElements(By.xpath("//*[@href or @src]"));

       for(WebElement e : list){
           String link = e.getAttribute("href");
           System.out.println(e.getTagName() + "=" + link);

seems to work fine I have discovered that when I update webpage the consequences of profile links is breaking down. So, the decision was to open profile link in new window. Do some action and close it. As guys above said using two loops was stupid decision. This code works for me perfect:
for(WebElement link : driver.findElements(By.xpath("//img[@alt='Online Now!']/../..//a"))){
            String originalWindow =driver.getWindowHandle();
            System.out.println("Original handle is: "+ originalWindow);
//open link in new window

            for (String newWindow : driver.getWindowHandles())
            System.out.println("NOW THE CURRENT Handle is: "+ newWindow);
//here write a message
List<WebElement> allLinks = driver.findElements(By.xpath("//img[@alt='Online Now!']/../..//a"));
//have found links of all online profiles
for (WebElement link : allLinks)
    String originalWindow =driver.getWindowHandle();
            System.out.println("Original handle is: "+ originalWindow);
//open link in new window

//continue handling new window

Selenium webdriver 2.0 : select next user from drop down list and Login\logout in sequence. How can I Loop it in Java

around this issue Can anyone help me with this looping in java. I have ~15 user roles that need to be tested with selenium webdriver. There is logout button to click after successful login. Right now with find element my test gets too slow ! 44sec. I need to make it faster, and I think loop may be the better way. Here is the HTML Javascript Code :
If you want to loop you can use testNG data provider
or Jsystem loop (what ever you use)
for faster UI test
you need to verify
1. Use Explicit Waits and not Implicit Waits
2. Don't open the browser in every test
3. You can use htmlunit (Fastest implementation of WebDriver)

hope that will help

I wish did fix the issue. about_you_page = webdriver.Chrome() creates new webdriver instance, it doesn't have any access to the driver and vice versa. Just use the existing driver to navigate
