I think the issue was by ths following , I seem to do this a lot , Indeed there is:
identical(sort(table(df$Temp)), table(df$Temp)[order(table(df$Temp))])
# [1] TRUE
x <- rnorm(10)
identical(sort(x), x[order(x)])
# [1] TRUE

this will help Your first suspicion is likely correct. A custom mark-up extension might be the best bet. I would check out this article.

To fix the issue you can do If you want all the data in the same column then you can place a SELECT around it and then do an ORDER BY.
    Select S_name As Names
    from Supplier
    JOIN Nation
        ON Supplier.S_nationkey = Nation.N_nationkey
    JOIN Region
        on Nation.n_regionkey = region.R_regionkey
    Where Region.r_name = 'AFRICA'
    Select C_name As Names
    from Customer
    JOIN Nation
        ON Customer.C_Nationkey = Nation.N_nationkey
    JOIN Region
        on Nation.N_regionkey = Region.R_regionkey
    Where Region.R_name = 'AFRICA'
    ORDER BY Names
Select S_name, c.C_name
from Supplier
JOIN Nation
    ON Supplier.S_nationkey = Nation.N_nationkey
JOIN Region
    on Nation.n_regionkey = region.R_regionkey
JOIN Customer c
    on Nation.N_nationkey = c.C_Nationkey
Where Region.r_name = 'AFRICA'
ORDER BY S_name, c.c_name

Shorter replace expression

To fix this issue I have this with several full stops afterwards, for which I can't use g modifier: , Not simpler, but may help in case you don't know the number of dots.

Shorter expression for if (a) b=a; in javascript

I wish did fix the issue. It doesn't get much shorter than that, some folks have helpfully put slightly terser alternatives in the comments to your question, although the point about maintainability versus readability is a good one to bear in mind too.
That said, I guess if your variable names are very long, as you say they are, then there is scope for reducing it by mentioning each variable name only once. e.g. your example could in practice be:
if (really_really_really_really_long_var_a) really_really_really_really_long_var_b = really_really_really_really_long_var_a;
var equate = function(a, b) {
    if (a) b = a;
equate(really_really_really_really_long_var_a, really_really_really_really_long_var_b);

How to shorter regular expression?

should help you out First off, I'm relatively new to regular expressions: I've built a regex that I'm using with sed that works fine for me, it looks like: sed 's/^[0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9] [0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9].[0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9] | info | tst.33.12.carmen | !: //g' but I'm pretty sure all the repetitive character occurrences could be simplified. How would I do this? , EDIT: Since OP has put sample of input now so adding this solution.
sed -E 's/^[0-9]{8} [0-9]{6}\.[0-9]{6} \| info  \| tst\.[0-9]{2}\.[0-9]{2}\.carmen \| \!:$//' Input_file
cat Input_file
20180630 180212.407107 | info  | tst.33.12.carmen | !:
20180630 180212.407107 | info  | tst.33.12.carmen | !:
sed -E 's/^[0-9]{8} [0-9]{6}\.[0-9]{6} \| info  \| tst\.[0-9]{2}\.[0-9]{2}\.carmen \| \!:$//'  Input_file

sed -E 's/^[0-9]{8} [0-9]{5}.[0-9]{5} | info  | tst.33.12.carmen | !: //g'
