it should still fix some issue I am reading Kafka documentation and trying to understand the working of it. This is regarding consumers. In brief, a topic is divided into number of partitions. There are number of consumer groups, each having number of consumer instances. Now, my question is, does each partition sends sends "same" message to each consumer groups, which in turn is given to specific consumer instance within the group? , Well to put it simply :

Zend Form not working properly, can't understand the concept of documentation

Tag : php , By : DonMac

will be helpful for those in need I am new born to zend. Was going through zend form documentation and couldn't understand one things. having a project on zend with oracle so my life is already messed up ;-) . I was stucked in a few basic problem of Zend_Form class. The problem is: when we are setting up a form in action and it is posted back to that action only, obviously new form object will get created and my posted value will get disappeared like smoke. So how to keep them alive. I got a substitute of $this->getrequest()->getparams() but in zend documentation and where ever I saw for examples they all have same flow. They are not using getparams() as option. Let me take it through code, to get very clear idea. , The typical workflow would be something more like this:
public function indexAction()
    $this->view->title = 'Welcome to CashTray '; // passing title to view
    // creating cashtray mapper object
    $cashTrayMapper = new Application_Model_CashtrayMapper();

    // search form object
    $searchForm = new Application_Form_Cashtray_Search();                       // creating search form object

    if ($this->getRequest()->isPost()) {
        if ($searchForm->isValid($this->getRequest()->getPost()) {
            // do stuff and then redirect

    $this->view->form = $searchForm;

    // retrieving cashtray list
    $this->view->entries = $cashTrayMapper->fetchAll();

Two independent storm topologies running on different clusters reading from same kafka topic (using kafka-spout) gives E

I wish this helpful for you The solution was that I had to go to the zookeeper and using zookeeper cli I deleted the zk storage root path /kafkastorm8 for the topology2 and resubmitted the topology and it worked fine.

Porting app from Kafka to Kafka 0.9.0. Reading offsets issue

Tag : scala , By : Mariamario

To fix this issue Kafka 0.9 maintains the old Kafka consumer in order to achieve backward-compatibility with Kafka 0.8.2 brokers. You are using the old consumer which is still present in Kafka 0.9 to read messages from Kafka 0.9. You should start to use new consumer API of Kafka 0.9 to read data from Kafka 0.9 brokers.
Hope this helps.

nifi as a producer to kafka: data is not sequential while reading Kafka

I hope this helps you . Kafka only guarantees order within a partition. Since you say this is one partition, then okay.

Kafka Connect InfluxDB Connector not reading data from Kafka topic

Hope that helps When a retention policy is used in influxdb, fully qualified measurement name needs to be used to access the contents. Also, I had changed the default policy used by influxdb (> show retention policies) , but the sink by default uses the autogen policy. In other words, following worked:
# With retention policy specified in config
> select * from one_hour.req
# <Lots of data>
# ...

# With retention policy not specified in config
> select * from autogen.req
# <Lots of data>
# ...
# conf
# ...
# ...

# influx
> select * from req
# <Lots of data>
# ...
