How to inflate SupportActionBar menu from outside Activity

Any of those help I decoupled view from my Activity and I have a separate class for all UI related operations. One operation I want to implement there is to inflate menu for Action Bar. I try doing things like these, but none of it works. , It was all my silly mistake.
activity.menuInflater.inflate(R.menu.my_menu, rootView.toolbar.menu)
public class MyActivity extends AppCompatActivity {

@Inject
MyView myView;

@Override
public void onCreate(@Nullable Bundle savedInstanceState) {
    super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
    setContentView(myView.getRootView());
}

@Override
public boolean onCreateOptionsMenu(Menu menu) {
    myView.displayMenu();
    return super.onCreateOptionsMenu(menu);
}

}

public class MyViewImpl implements MyView {

    @Override
    public void displayMenu() {
        activity.getMenuInflater().inflate(
            R.menu.categories_modification_menu,
            rootView.findViewById(R.id.toolbar).getMenu()
        )
    }

}

Can I inflate a context menu from within a custom class (not an Activity Class)?

this will help Here is what worked for me: Instead of trying to inflate a menu from XML, I just created the menu items directly from the java:
public void onCreateContextMenu(ContextMenu menu, View v, ContextMenuInfo menuInfo) {

        menu.add(1, 1, 1, "Share Animal Sound");
        menu.add(1, 2, 2, "Change Picture");
        menu.add(1, 3, 3, "Change Sound");

        menu.getItem(0).setOnMenuItemClickListener(this);
        menu.getItem(1).setOnMenuItemClickListener(this);
        menu.getItem(2).setOnMenuItemClickListener(this);
    }

fixed the issue. Will look into that further you add showasaction to never thats why it will not display in action bar . you need to add showAsAction as always or according to your usage please read following parameter for showAsAction.
http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/resources/menu-resource.html
<menu xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
    xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
    xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools" tools:context="com.politicsappv2.PoliticianPage">
    <item android:icon="@drawable/ic_message_white_24dp"
        android:id="@+id/action_community" android:title="Community"
        android:orderInCategory="100" app:showAsAction="always" />
    <item android:icon="@drawable/ic_bookmark_outline_white_24dp"
        android:id="@+id/action_bookmark" android:title="Bookmark"
        android:orderInCategory="100" app:showAsAction="ifRoom" />
</menu>

Android - Are there any conflicts with inflating the toolbar menu, and using the supportActionBar which inflates the men

I hope this helps . There isn't any issue with that, in both cases you are using Action Bar. The difference is in first case you are using the Toolbar with the reference of Action Bar by assigning your Toolbar to Action Bar, but you are still using Action Bar. So, there isn't anything to worry. Maybe it is confusing for you, but don't worry it's fine. If you still want to clarify then read about both Action Bar and Toolbar on Google Developers Website. Read about them thoroughly like what they actually, I hope it will clarify all your confusions.

How to inflate menu from fragment overlaying an activity

this will help You may have to override the onCreateOptionsMenu in your fragmewnt. Also you may have to setHasOptionsMenu to true in your fragments oncreate to let the activity know that this fragment has its own menu:
@Override
public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
    super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
    setHasOptionsMenu(true);
}

@Override
public void onCreateOptionsMenu(Menu menu, MenuInflater inflater) {
    // Your menu needs to be added here
    super.onCreateOptionsMenu(menu, inflater);
}
