calling a fuction and variables from another class in java

fixed the issue. Will look into that further This is when you need a parameter.
One of the cases where you need a parameter is when your method needs some information that it can't get for itself (in this case, userin), so the caller (main) has to give it the required information.
public static void switchcase(String usersw) {
if (userin.equals("exit"))

java calling method in other class doesn't recognize changed variables

wish help you to fix your issue Your issue is that you are creating a new character when you create your save object, rather than passing in the character to save. You might try something like this:
public class SaveSystem
    public SaveSystem()
    {  }

    public void saveGame(Character character)
        //just to test the methods used earlier
public static void main(String[] args)
    Character character = new Character(); //initializes the Character variable
    SaveSystem save = new SaveSystem();

    character.setStrength(5); //sets the character's strength to 5
    save.saveGame(character); //containing nothing but the character.getStrength() method

Passing in multiple of the same type variables in one fuction

hop of those help? Using the variable-length argument list syntax (see @HungVo's answer) you can declare an unspecified number of trailing arguments of the same type in both Java and C++. But for the individually named arguments at the front of the parameter list, however, you must write the type along with each parameter name.
However, some other languages, such as Pascal and Ada, do offer a parameter list syntax that allows you to declare multiple consecutive arguments of the same type without having to repeat the type name. In Pascal, for instance, you could define a procedure aProc which takes arguments of the types INTEGER, INTEGER, INTEGER, and REAL (in that order) with:
PROCEDURE aProc (a, b, c: INTEGER; x: REAL);
END aProc;
void aProc(int a, int b, int c, float x)

Second fuction executes before the first fuction is completely executed

it fixes the issue What you need to do is just change like below in your response method,
            public void onResponse(String response) {
                try {
                    Log.d(TAG, "Response-->" + response);
                    JSONObject jsonObject = new JSONObject(response);
                    JSONArray jsonArray = jsonObject.getJSONArray("media");
                    Log.d(TAG, "Media Array-->" + jsonArray);
                    for (int i = 0; i < jsonArray.length(); i++) {
                        JSONObject jsonObject1 = jsonArray.getJSONObject(i);

                        ImageGallery imageGallery = new ImageGallery(

                        Log.d(TAG, "Data List in AsyncTask-->" + data_list);
                } catch (JSONException e) {
