will help you TensorFlow > r0.11 tf.random.uniform supports minval, maxval and dtypes float32, float64, int32, or int64.
tf.random.uniform(
shape,
minval=0,
maxval=None,
dtype=tf.dtypes.float32,
seed=None,
name=None)
tf.random_uniform(
    shape, minval=0, maxval=None, dtype=tf.float32, seed=None, name=None)

obj-c: generate random number from within range excluding variable two

will help you I think your code would be cleaner, and easier to maintain, if you refactored this into a utility method:
+ (NSInteger)generateRandomExcluding:(NSArray *)exclude topOfRange:(NSInteger)topOfRange {
    NSInteger aRandom = arc4random_uniform(topOfRange);
    while ([exclude containsObject:[NSNumber numberWithInteger:aRandom]]) {
        aRandom = arc4random_uniform(topOfRange);
    }
    return aRandom;
}
NSNumber *excludeOne = [NSNumber numberWithInt:5];
NSNumber *excludeTwo = [NSNumber numberWithInt:13];

NSInteger random = [MyClass generateRandomExcluding:[NSArray arrayWithObjects:excludeOne, excludeTwo, nil] topOfRange:100];

Trying to generate random number between a range based on an input, returns number outside range

help you fix your problem I'm trying to generate a random number between a range based on a user input, the problem is that the program seems to store a number outside of the specified range when I run it. In the example below, I input 8 and 'puts ex_val' returns 247.5. 8 shouldn't be giving me anything higher than 170.001, where am I going wrong here? ,
if example_range = 11 || 12
rand(212.502..255)
if [11, 12].include?(example_range)
example_range = gets.chomp

how to generate random shuffled number in tensorflow

wish helps you I want to generate numbers from 0 to a specific number and then randomly shuffle those numbers. I get some value from a tensor total = tf.Variable(BCIsize[0]+BCRsize[0]+BCOsize[0], dtype = tf.int32). For example if the value of total is 20 I want to generate numbers from 0 to 19. , use tf.range to create list, then tf.random_shuffle
idx = tf.constant(20)
idx_list = tf.range(idx) # 0~19
shuffle = tf.random_shuffle(idx_list)

with tf.Session() as sess:
    a, b = sess.run([idx_list, shuffle])
