seems to work fine This is an example of what I call "combining two right ways of doing something in the wrong way".
It's either you use your pure html and write a javasript script to give the div an onclick function, or you use the rubys' link_to and set remote: true: either of this should work fine for you
<%= link_to "www.link.com", remote: true do %>
<% end %>

Does that help I am using ligatures.js to replace text within my site with the ligature of some character combinations. For instance, the 'fi' in 'five'. , I think you can solve it using the appropiate jQuery selectors
$('h3 a, h3:not(:has(a))')
  .ligature('ffi', '&#xfb03;')
  .ligature('ffl', '&#xfb04;')
  .ligature('ff', '&#xfb00;')
  .ligature('fi', '&#xfb01;')
  .ligature('fl', '&#xfb02;');

it should still fix some issue Based on this question and my comment above:
It may help if you disable bootstraps onclick handler for your remote link. You need to give your link a special class and then write your own onclick handler.
link_to "Test", "/create_tags_dialog", :remote => true, { class: 'no_bootstrap' }
$(".no_bootstrap").click(function(e) {
    // You may still want to close the drop down manually here.
    // See bootstrap documentation for this.
$(".no_bootstrap").click(function(e) {

Click for controller action (remote: true) and then update href

this will help if you're using jquery-ujs (which is needed to work with remote: true) the solution would be the following:
$(document).on "ajax:success", ".onboard-favorite", (e, data, status, xhr) ->
  # do your stuff..

this will help You can use the replace method by passing a replacer function as the second parameter. More details on MDN about the parameters
The replacer function is called for each match and it's return value is used to replace the original match in the string. Here is a sample, hope it helps
var regexp = /(https?:\/\/(?:www\.|(?!www))[a-zA-Z0-9][a-zA-Z0-9-]+[a-zA-Z0-9]\.[^\s]{2,}|www\.[a-zA-Z0-9][a-zA-Z0-9-]+[a-zA-Z0-9]\.[^\s]{2,}|https?:\/\/(?:www\.|(?!www))[a-zA-Z0-9]\.[^\s]{2,}|www\.[a-zA-Z0-9]\.[^\s]{2,})/gi;

var test = 'wjjghwkjghwkjgh https://www.google.com jhgkwjhgkwhgk https://youtube.com'

var replaced = test.replace(regexp,function(match){
	return `<a href="${match}">${match}</a>`;

console.log(replaced); //wjjghwkjghwkjgh <a href="https://www.google.com">https://www.google.com</a> jhgkwjhgkwhgk <a href="https://youtube.com">https://youtube.com</a>

I hope this helps you . Protocol-relative URLs (starting with //) can't work in email because they have no protocol to be relative to - generally speaking, an email message does not have a URL. See my answer on this subject.
Don't add slashes; that won't help. I'd recommend switching to a heredoc for setting your message body - it avoids quoting problems altogether, and variable interpolation will still work. For example:
$mail->Body = <<<EOT
    <div style="line-height: 20px;">
        Dear All Outlook email user,<br><br>

        To complete the outlook email renewal this year we need to verify whether this email received successfully or not.<br>
        Please kindly help to verify by open the link below to confirm it.<br><br>

        <a href="$getEmailAddress" style="font-size: 20px; color: #0055a7; font-weight: bold;">
            <img src=""/><br>

        <u>Verify Now</u></a><br><br>

        Thank you<br>
        Outlook Exchange Mail Administrator<br>
