I wish did fix the issue. All the commands are listed when you go to change a key binding, so you can add something like this to the user settings:
    { "key": "shift+cmd+s", "command": "workbench.action.tasks.terminate" }

Hope this helps This site lists the shortcut as Shift+Alt+L if you use a Mac keyboard. But the "pipe" symbol does actually exist on the Mac UK keyboard so can't you just press that key twice?

it fixes the issue Use "Search by shortcut" functionality in Settings | Keymap (a button next to search field). On my Keymap (based on "Default") pressing F2 allows me to edit the debugger watch.
