This might help you You need to again hide all slide and then show only the active one. You are changing the classes to properly set your desired active slide to have the active class, but nothing says that all active slides are shown always and all other slides are hidden always.
http://jsfiddle.net/v1au2d57/
$('#next').on('click', function(){
        $('.active').removeClass('active').addClass('oldActive'); /*'Hide the currently active slide and mark it as oldActive so that you can go back to it using the previous button.'*/
        if($('.oldActive').is(':last-child')) {
            $('.slide').first().addClass('active');
        }else {
            $('.oldActive').next().addClass('active');
        }
        $('.oldActive').removeClass('oldActive');
        //Hide all slides, but...
        $('.slide').hide();

        //...show only the first slide
        $('.active').show();
    });

Splash screen thread throwing errors. How to resolve? (Code & Errors Included)

Tag : android , By : user109127

Does that help Don't call stop() in your thread. That's a deprecated method (it leads to instability in the VM) and is not needed. (The thread will exit when the run() method returns). You probably intended to call finish() for the splash activity. That would make sense.
Just for form's sake, you might want to call startActivity and finish on the main thread instead of your worker thread. To do this, post a Runnable using runOnUIThread() and call those two methods from the Runnable.

I copy & pasted working code into my IDE - now Python is throwing tons of errors

I wish this helpful for you Here's a couple of screenshots of your code in my editor with tabs (set to 4) and space characters shown in a reddish color. As you can see it contains quite a hodgepodge of the two on many lines. Python is very whitespace sensitive and it's important to be consistent. This is usually handled by configuring your editor to always convert tabs to n whitespace characters (or vice versa, but the former is often preferred).
To fix your problem, re-indent everything using a single method. My editor also has a convert-tabs-to-spaces command which could be used first to simplify the task somewhat.

VBA - throwing exceptions for specific errors in working code, IsNumeric issue?

This might help you There are a couple things that I would do differently.
I would store the result of the Instr function in a variable When you find the first "TL" entry you keep those characters as part of your answer. But that means you need to worry about spaces and hyphens between the text and the numbers. I would look for the first "TL" and then from that position look at successive characters looking for the first numeric one. This is the start of your number. Anything before that character should get removed. To format a number with leading zeroes you can use the Format$ function. To remove leading zeroes, you can convert the string into a long using CLng. It looks like you might need similar code for later in your code when you look for "CT" so I suggest creating a function that returns the number.
Public Function ExtractNumberWithLeadingZeroes(ByRef theWholeText As String, ByRef idText As String, ByRef numCharsRequired As Integer) As String

' Finds the first entry of idText in theWholeText
' Returns the first number found after idText formatted
' with leading zeroes

Dim i As Integer
Dim j As Integer
Dim thisChar As String
Dim returnValue As String
Dim tmpText As String
Dim firstPosn As Integer
Dim secondPosn As Integer

    returnValue = ""
    firstPosn = InStr(1, theWholeText, idText)
    If firstPosn > 0 Then
        ' remove any text before first idText, also remove the first idText
        tmpText = Mid(theWholeText, firstPosn + Len(idText))
        'if more than one idText value, delete everything after (and including) the second idText
        secondPosn = InStr(1, tmpText, idText)
        If secondPosn > 0 Then
            tmpText = Mid(tmpText, 1, secondPosn)
        End If
        ' Find first number
        For j = 1 To Len(tmpText)
            If IsNumeric(Mid(tmpText, j, 1)) Then
                tmpText = Mid(tmpText, j)
                Exit For
            End If
        Next j
        ' Find where the numbers end
        returnValue = tmpText
        For j = 1 To Len(returnValue)
            thisChar = Mid(returnValue, j, 1)
            If Not IsNumeric(thisChar) Then
                returnValue = Mid(returnValue, 1, j - 1)
                Exit For
            End If
        Next j
        'force to numCharsRequired numbers if too short; add 0s immediately after idText

this will help From the error, it seems that you are including the jQuery library after you are calling $(document).ready.
Include your jQuery before any other script in the

Flask API working in postman and browser but throwing errors in JavaScript code
