help you fix your problem In your second version, Keyboard.isKeyDown(Keyboard.KEY_ESCAPE) is evaluated once and its value is assigned to ESC, which remains constant. It's either always true or always false (more likely).
Your first version evaluates !Keyboard.isKeyDown(Keyboard.KEY_ESCAPE) on each iteration of the loop, so it can detect when ESC is actually pressed.
while(!Display.isCloseRequested() && !Input.ESC())
//

public class Input
{
    public static boolean ESC()
    {
        return Keyboard.isKeyDown(Keyboard.KEY_ESCAPE);
    }
}

I'm considering placing a while loop inside a parent while loop that has the exact same conditions. Can I avoid this wit

With these it helps I'm considering placing a while loop with the conditions (qgLLInco = 1) inside a while loop with the exact same conditions. , You can return false; inside $.each() to break the loop.
$(qgAnsArray[]).find('jOption').each(function(){
    if($(this).attr('correct') == 'false')
    {
        $('#qg_options').append('<li><span class="qg_option">' + $(this).text() + '</span></li>');
        return false;
    }
});
var elem = $(qgAnsArray[]).find('jOption[correct="false"]').first();

Call on a variable created in another loop in Java, and how to have multiple conditions in a do...while loop

wish help you to fix your issue I am creating a rock paper scissors game for class at school. I got everything to work, except for setting up something to restate the question when an invalid choice is answered. I figured a do...while statement was best here, but I realized that I am calling on a variable within the "do" part of the loop. So, since it's calling on something from another loop, it can't find that variable. Also, in my while statements, did I correctly list the variables that are acceptable? I'm pretty sure I just made that part up. , Several things jump out:
if (P1 == 1 && P2 == 1)
//          ^^---- &&, not &
do {
    System.out.println("Player 2, choose 1 for rock, 2 for paper, or 3 for scissors.");
    int P2 = input.nextInt();
//  ^----------------------------- here
} while (/*...*/);
int P1, P2;
do {
    System.out.println("Player 2, choose 1 for rock, 2 for paper, or 3 for scissors.");
    P2 = input.nextInt();
} while (P2 != 1 && P2 != 2 && P2 != 3);
//               ^^---------^^---- "If P2 is not 1 AND P2 is not 2 AND P2 is not 3"
if (P1 == P2) {
    System.out.println("It's a tie!");
}
else if (P1 == 1) {
    if (P2 == 2) {
        System.out.println("Player 2 wins!");
    }
    else {
        System.out.println("Player 1 wins!");
    }
}
else if (P1 == 2) {
    if (P2 == 1) {
        System.out.println("Player 1 wins!");
    }
    else {
        System.out.println("Player 2 wins!");
    }
}
else { // P1 == 3
    if (P2 == 1) {
        System.out.println("Player 2 wins!");
    }
    else {
        System.out.println("Player 1 wins");
    }
}

Hope that helps My intuition is that the version of the code with one loop should be faster than the version with two loops. (Assuming that you correct the syntax errors first!) I doubt that the optimizer would be able to combine the two loops into one, and performing the list iteration twice is going to take longer than performing it once.
However, my advice to you would be:

While loop multiple conditions don't check both conditions

I wish this helpful for you ,
I thought the && means both conditions have to be met
while (x < 10 || y < 20){

Does order of conditions matter with multiple conditions in a while loop?

will help you Conditions are evaluated left to right.
Initially, for case j=-1, your code wasn't evaluating the second condition because the first one was throwing an ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException exception.
while (temp.compareTo(array[j]) < 0 && j >= 0)
while (j >= 0 && temp.compareTo(array[j]) < 0)
