wish of those help you could track it using the parent div with the class form-group and point to its previous peer:
$("#submit_reply_button").click(function () {
         alert("firing");
         alert(($(this).closest('.form-group').prev().find("#reply_textarea").val()));
});

Hope this helps
It seems to collect all three p elements and and put the three into each div, creating nine p elements.
$('.text').each(function() {
  var elm = $(this);
  elm.prependTo(elm.nextAll('.item').first());
});
$('.text').each(function() {
  var elm = $(this);
  elm.prependTo(elm.next());
});
setTimeout(function() {
  $("#legend").text("AFTER");
  $('.text').each(function() {
    var elm = $(this);
    elm.prependTo(elm.nextAll('.item').first());
  });
}, 600);
.item {
  border: 1px solid black;
}
<div id="legend">BEFORE</div>
<div class="container">
  <p class="text">Sample text.</p>
  <div class="item">
    <p>More text</p>
  </div>
</div>

<div class="container">
  <p class="text">Sample text.</p>
  <div class="item">
    <p>More text</p>
  </div>
</div>

<div class="container">
  <p class="text">Sample text.</p>
  <div class="item">
    <p>More text</p>
  </div>
</div>

How can I make the first sibling element have blue background except for when a different sibling element is hovered?

I wish this helpful for you If you wrap all 3 divs in a container you can use the :first-child and the :hover selectors to achieve this:
div.container > div {
  border: 1px solid black;
  margin: 5px;
  padding: 5px;
}
div.container > div:first-child {
  background: blue;
}
div.container:hover > div {
  background: white;
}
div.container > div:hover {
  background: red;
}
<div class="container">
  <div>Timothy Gruns</div>
  <div>Lawrence Fishly</div>
  <div>Jackson Crolya</div>
</div>

How to append each sibling element to its sibling in jQuery?

Tag : javascript , By : Oli
Date : March 29 2020, 07:55 AM
I hope this helps . Though .appendTo() and .append() both works same, their syntax is little bit different.
.appendTo() insert every element in the set of matched elements to the end of the target like
$(element_to_be_append).appendTo(append_to_this);
$(append_to_this).appendTo(element_to_be_append);
var j = jQuery.noConflict();

j(function() {
  j('.list-item .hyrra-forrad-size-list').each(function() {
    j(this).parent().find('.elimore_trim').appendTo(j(this));
  });
});
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<div class="list-item">
    <div class="elimore_trim">
    Lorem ipsum
    </div>
    <ul class="hyrra-forrad-size-list">
    <li>Hyra 1</li>
    <li>Content 1</li>
    </ul>
</div>

<div class="list-item">
    <div class="elimore_trim">
    Lorem ipsum
    </div>
    <ul class="hyrra-forrad-size-list">
    <li>Hyra 2</li>
    <li>Content 2</li>
    </ul>
</div>
var j = jQuery.noConflict();

j(function() {
  j('.list-item .hyrra-forrad-size-list').each(function() {
    j(this).append(j(this).parent().find('.elimore_trim'));
  });
});
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<div class="list-item">
    <div class="elimore_trim">
    Lorem ipsum
    </div>
    <ul class="hyrra-forrad-size-list">
    <li>Hyra 1</li>
    <li>Content 1</li>
    </ul>
</div>

<div class="list-item">
    <div class="elimore_trim">
    Lorem ipsum
    </div>
    <ul class="hyrra-forrad-size-list">
    <li>Hyra 2</li>
    <li>Content 2</li>
    </ul>

I hope this helps you . The most common repetitive structure of the HTML is: , use this :
Python Code :
from bs4 import BeautifulSoup
import re
text = '''
<div>

  <p class="Standard">
   <span class="T3">
    it is possible for you
   </span>
  </p>

  <p class="Standard">
   <span class="T3">
    it is acceptable for me
   </span>

  </p>
  <p class="P3">
   (to ask a question in Spanish, you just use inflection)
  </p>

</div>
'''
soup = BeautifulSoup(text,features='html.parser')
p_standards = soup.find_all("p", class_ = "Standard")

for p_standard in p_standards:
    p_english = p_standard.find('span',attrs={'class':'T3'})
    nextSibling = p_standard.find_next_sibling()
    print(p_english.text)
    if(nextSibling.attrs['class'][0] == 'P3' and nextSibling.name == 'p'):
      print(nextSibling.text)
