seems to work fine Create a new page that you'll use to load in your image file, and allow for a GET. Also, make sure you set the content type to image/png. Make sure you also have the GD Library installed
<?php
Header("Content-Type: image/png");
//Fetch data using $_GET
//...
$image = file_get_contents("img/undefined.png"); //new image
if ($result->num_rows > 0) {
    while($row = $result->fetch_assoc()) {
        switch($row["Status"]) {
          case 0 :
             $image = file_get_contents("img/currently-available.png");
          break;
          case 1 :
             $image = file_get_contents("img/short-leave.png");
          break;
          case 2 :
             $image = file_get_contents("img/long-leave.png");
          break;
          case 3 :
             $image = file_get_contents("img/semi-permanent-leave.png");
          break;
          default :
             $image = file_get_contents("img/undefined.png"); //new image
          break;
        }
}

$im = imagecreatefromstring($image);
imagepng($im);
imagedestroy($im);

I wish this helpful for you You don't have that choice. If you specify Content-Disposition: attachment, the browser will download the file. How exactly the browser does this depends. Safari or Chrome will simply download the file to disk without any prompt at all. Other browsers happen to ask. You can't control it.

this will help I would look at a Map Tiler similar to the way Google maps breaks up images and displays them. Here is a starting place http://www.maptiler.org/ . Here is an example of a company that has done exactly what you are trying to do https://wiki.openmrs.org/display/docs/Google+Maps+Image+Viewer+Module

For example:

How can I display Product Images to Logged In Users only, with Logged Out Users seeing an alternative image?

I wish this helpful for you Firstly, you are going to need to create a Child Theme, for your WordPress/WooCommerce website.
Once created, simply insert the following code, into the functions.php file, within your Child Theme:
<?php
// Remove Default WooCommerce Product Images/Placeholders.
remove_action( 'woocommerce_before_single_product_summary', 'woocommerce_show_product_images', 20 );

// Create conditional logic function.
function logged_in_images(){
    // If site visitor is Logged in, display Default WooCommerce Product Images/Placeholder.
    if ( is_user_logged_in() ) {
        echo woocommerce_show_product_images();
    }
    // If site visitor is not logged in, display the following Image instead.
    else {
        echo '<img src=http://vaporcenter.be/theme/Wholesale/img/placeholders/default.jpg?1504084579>';
    };
}

// We are inserting ('Hooking' into) the above function into where the Default WooCommerce Product Image/Placeholder was, before we removed it.
add_action( 'woocommerce_before_single_product_summary', 'logged_in_images', 20 );
?>

hope this fix your issue The URL that you use for your image isn't a problem. You can use whatever you want. The issue comes when you allow users to store files on disk that they name.
While it is possible to allow a user to upload a file directly to something like /users/username.jpg, you must take extra caution to ensure that they don't set up their naming in such a way that the file lands in the wrong place, or becomes executable.
