hop of those help? The problem is that index is a method and needs to be called with () not []. To use Kasra's example:
>>> s="aeer"
>>> s.index('a')

I wish this helpful for you You need to change the brackets in The_End.insert[x + 1, y] to parenthesis.
The_End.insert(x + 1, y)

This might help you I'm getting this error when I try to run the script. , Use parentheses rather than square brackets to call a method:
containedFiles = containedArray.partition(",")
# ('hello', ',', 'world')
# ['hello', 'world']

this will help Im trying to test out some stuff so I can make a python text adventure, but its not working. Here is the code: , To call a method (like append), you wrap the parameters in () not [].

this one helps. I'm trying to interpret data I am planning to send betweeen machines with a chosen target where I will send the data to and the data the following code is supposed to do this(the target is a number of any length and has to start with a "/") I know the whole code isn't great and I am probably using wrong names for pretty much everything but I hope with a bit of help it will work , list.append() is a function
