HTML table - fixed width columns and horizontal scroll

wish of those help I have a jsFiddle example of what is possible: jsFiddle table scrolling
Tables cannot scroll themselves (because they never overflow), but if you put a wrapper around it users can scroll horizontally (or vertically). However: If you cannot give your table a fixed width, it will just fill as much space it can find. But it does not overflow it's parent. Even though the table-cells are given a fixed width.

wish help you to fix your issue Using frames will only complicate this. If possible, put it all on one page.
Put each table in a div. Position the div's side by side. Give them the same height. Make them overflow: auto so they scroll.
$(".left, .right").on("scroll", function() {
   $(".left, .right").scrollTop($(this).scrollTop());
});

I wish did fix the issue. In order to scroll at any position within the same page, you can use the following:
Mark the element, where you want to scroll to, with this tag:
<a id="cellcontent">
<a href="#cellcontent">go to cell</a>
<script type="text/javascript">
    function showIt(elID) {
        var el = document.getElementById(elID);
        el.scrollIntoView(true);
    }
</script>
<td id="cellcontent">Some content</td>
