like below fixes the issue So, I don't really have an explanation as to why, but restarting my computer solved the problem, the code runs fine after doing that...

will be helpful for those in need As the error says it's a disposed object. That means you need to remove the using ( clause; this clause disposed your connection object and that's why you cannot use this object outside using (. That means you need to create a new object of class if you want to use it outside using (.

I wish did fix the issue. The problem was a subtle dependency issue. The previous version used NUnit 2.x, while my current version uses NUnit 3.x; now in order to use NUnit I need a NuGet package called "NUnit Test Adapter", but upgrading it is not enough: apparently for NUnit 3+ there is a different package called "NUnit 3 Test Adapter" which is not just an upgraded version of the previous one - but a different one altogether.
Installing NUnit 3 Test Adapter solved my problem.

SlidingMenuSharp System.ObjectDisposedException: Cannot access a disposed object. Object name: 'Android.Widget.Scroller'

I hope this helps you . We have a Xamarin.Android 7 app. We are getting the following exception which causes the app to crash. It says something about Android.Widget.Scroller, but we are not using this component explicitly in our app anywhere. We are using ScrollView and GridView in xaml files though. , Use the new GC Bridge vs. the default tarjan:

seems to work fine As stated in another answer the file stream is being disposed of before the framework has had time to completed its functionality. That is because you are returning the stream in a using block which will dispose of the stream once the out of scope.
If there is no need for the archive to actually be saved/written to disk, consider building the archive in memory and return its stream.

MemoryStream zipStream = new MemoryStream();
using (var zipArchive  = new ZipArchive(zipStream, ZipArchiveMode.Create, leaveOpen: true)) {
    foreach (var document in documents) {
        string fileName = document.Path;
        int index = fileName.LastIndexOf("/");
        if (index != -1)
            fileName = fileName.Substring(index + 1);
        zipArchive.CreateEntryFromFile(document.Path, fileName);
} // disposal of archive will force data to be written to memory stream.
zipStream.Position = 0; //reset memory stream position.
return File(zipStream, "application/zip", "MyDocuments.zip");
