wish help you to fix your issue Oracle JDBC drviers (ojdbc6.jar, ojdbc7.jar, ojdbc8.jar) are not published into Maven Central repository due to Oracle license. If it worked before you must have installed it locally (e.g. by running mvn install:install-file) or used a repository other than Maven Central which had it.
You need to download the ojdbc7 from Oracle website manually and agree to OTN License Agreement. Ideally you would download the ojdbc7 JAR to match your Oracle Database server version (SELECT * FROM v$version).

OJDBC code issue in Java Eclipse

seems to work fine Try removing the con.commit line, there is no need for that.
You should add finally to your catch and close the statement there.

Maven ojdbc jar dependency error: package oracle.jdbc does not exist

this one helps. The ojdbc jar is not in public maven repositories. You can add the jar to local repository manually.
Download the jar from:
mvn install:install-file -Dfile={Path/to/your/ojdbc.jar} -DgroupId=com.oracle -DartifactId=ojdbc6 -Dversion=11.2.0 -Dpackaging=jar
   <dependency>
        <groupId>com.oracle</groupId>
        <artifactId>ojdbc6</artifactId>
        <version>11.2.0</version>
   </dependency>

Maven Nexus Oracle ojdbc

I hope this helps . The best solution is to configure Nexus to use the thirdParty repository as part of the public group in Nexus which is the default and best practice to have only one repository group which should be configured in Maven. So you can control the overall behaviour within Nexus and globally and not on a developer / computer base.

Adding ojdbc to maven project

fixed the issue. Will look into that further The system scope that you are using is more meant to include things provided by java itself and is a deprecated feature.
The jar is not in the usual maven repositories due to license restrictions. So it needs to be somewhere with private access.
