I think the issue was by ths following , Sorry for the rubbish title but hopefully this will explain:
;with cte AS
(
SELECT name, data, ROW_NUMBER() OVER (PARTITION BY name ORDER BY data DESC) AS RN
FROM YourTable
)
SELECT name, data
FROM cte
WHERE RN<=2
ORDER BY name, data

fixed the issue. Will look into that further I have a table that has some children of a master object. Any child can occur more than once, and there is a Occurences column that contains that number, so the data in the table is something like:
;with C as
(
  select ChildID,
         ParentID,
         Occurences - 1 as Occurences
  from @Children
  union all
  select ChildID,
         ParentID,
         Occurences - 1 as Occurences
  from C
  where Occurences > 0
)
select row_number() over(order by ChildID) as IDENT,
       ChildID,
       ParentID
from C
order by IDENT

I wish this helpful for you You can accomplish this by using a join. My postgre is rough, but I think this should do what you need:
SELECT time, data
FROM data_raw, label
WHERE data_raw.serial = label.serial
AND time BETWEEN label.start_time AND label.end_time

this will help so I have two tables: , use alias and you can link table twice
SELECT HT.teamLongName, homeTeamGoals, aT.teamLongName, awayTeamGoals
FROM results INNER JOIN teams HT on homeTeam = HT.teamShortName
INNER JOIN teams AT ON awayTeam = AT.teamShortName

I wish this helpful for you If you only want customers that have placed an order, then use EXISTS:
SELECT TOP (100)
       c.CustomerID,
       c.FirstName,
       c.LastName,
       c.Email,
       c.Phone,
       a.Company,
       a.Address1,
       a.Address2,
       a.Suite,
       a.City,
       a.State,
       a.Zip,
       a.Country
FROM Customer c
     JOIN Address a ON c.CustomerID = a.CustomerID
WHERE EXISTS (SELECT 1
              FROM Orders O
              WHERE O.CustomerID = C.CustomerID)
ORDER BY (SELECT NULL); --Whoop whoop, 100 random rows
