Android: How to make pagination with instagram API

Tag : android , By : chintown

This might help you The response object you get from the Instagram API will have a pagination object, this object contains a property called next_url. This is the URL you need to use to get the next page. Here is an example:
You request the original feed with the following URL:
https://api.instagram.com/v1/users/self/media/recent?access_token=TOKEN
{
   "pagination":{
      "next_url":"https://api.instagram.com/v1/users/319505/media/recent?access_token=TOKEN&max_id=407185589491099817_319505",
      "next_max_id":"407185589491099817_319505"
   },
   "meta":{
      "code":200
   },
   "data":["omitted"]
}

I wish this help you Right now when I gather my data (the images) I get 3 of the same image in the same row. I want the image to gather inside my listview by laying next to eachother (3 unique images on each row) and then move down a row.
int ndx = 0;
Info info = null;

foreach (var items in getInfo["results"]) {

  if (ndx == 0) {
    info = new Info();
    info.theimage = items ["Photo"].ToString();
    ndx++;
  } else

  if (ndx == 1) {
    info.theimage2 = items ["Photo"].ToString();
    ndx++;
  } else

  if (ndx == 2) {
    info.theimage3 = items ["Photo"].ToString();
    imagesList.Add(info);
    info = null;
    ndx = 0;
  }
}

if (info != null) {
  imagesList.Add(info);
}

Any of those help you can use requiresFadingEdge attribute in your xml. make a listview inside your layout with this attributes:
    android:fadingEdge="horizontal"
    android:fadingEdgeLength="30dp"
    android:fillViewport="false"
    android:requiresFadingEdge="vertical"
<RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
  xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools"
  android:layout_width="match_parent"
  android:layout_height="match_parent"
  android:background="@drawable/th"
  tools:context="com.example.maghari_se.testfading.MainActivity">
<ListView
    android:id="@+id/listview"
    android:layout_width="match_parent"
    android:layout_height="180dp"
    android:layout_alignParentBottom="true"
    android:visibility="visible"
    android:fadingEdge="horizontal"
    android:fadingEdgeLength="30dp"
    android:fillViewport="false"
    android:requiresFadingEdge="vertical">

it helps some times The keyword is "URL Rewrite". How it is done depends on the server technology being used:
Apache: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/current/mod/mod_rewrite.html Nginx: https://www.nginx.com/blog/creating-nginx-rewrite-rules/

Android filter listview like Instagram

fixed the issue. Will look into that further I'm creating an Android app in which there is a listeview and the search is filtered through an EditText. , Use something like:
private ArrayAdapter<String> mAdapter;
private String[] data = {"myname","myname2","myname3","myname4","myname5"};
private EditText searchBox;
private ListView mListView;

@Override
public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.main_activity);

searchBox = findViewById(R.id.searchBox);
mListView = findViewById(R.id.mListView);

mListView.setTextFilterEnabled(true);

mAdapter = new ArrayAdapter<String>(MainActivity.this,
android.R.layout.simple_list_item_1, data);

mListView.setAdapter(mAdapter);

searchBox.addTextChangedListener(new TextWatcher() {

@Override
public void onTextChanged(CharSequence arg0, int arg1, int arg2, int arg3) {
    // TODO Auto-generated method stub
    MainActivity.this.mAdapter.getFilter().filter(arg0);
}

@Override
public void beforeTextChanged(CharSequence arg0, int arg1, int arg2,
        int arg3) {
    // TODO Auto-generated method stub

}

@Override
public void afterTextChanged(Editable arg0) {
    // TODO Auto-generated method stub

}
});

}
