Visual Studio 2013: Cannot change icon [VB]

like below fixes the issue Yeah I think you're correct. The image has been cached by Windows. If you give the app a new name, it'll create a new reference and the icon will probably disappear. I think I found someone who had a similar issue. Check here: http://www.vbforums.com/showthread.php?701551-RESOLVED-Icon-won-t-change-on-Explorer

What does this Visual Studio (2013 professional) magnify glass icon mean?

I wish did fix the issue. That's the predefined SBAI_Find icon in Visual Studio's Status Bar Animation Region. Any extension could be triggering it (or even Visual Studio itself). There's more information here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/es-es/library/microsoft.visualstudio.shell.interop.ivsstatusbar.animation(v=vs.100).aspx
There's no way to tell what is triggering it by your question only. To find the culprit, I'd try disabling all extensions and enabling them one-by-one.

What does this red square icon mean in Visual Studio 2013 Solution Explorer?

With these it helps In the image below, there are red square icons next to items in the Solution Explorer. I can't figure out what they indicate. I'm using Resharper and AnkhSVN, so they may be from either of those two packages, or from Visual Studio itself. Does anyone have any idea what they mean? , It's likely from Subversion, saying that you have changes in the file

like below fixes the issue The exact class name is SqlCommand. C# is case-sensitive, so be aware of proper casing! VS may help fix casing issues using the hotkey Ctrl-Spacebar.
