PerformanceProgressBar "Invalid cross-thread access" exception

around this issue Any change to the visual-tree, i.e. the UI of your application, must be performed from the UI thread. This includes changes to properties that occur via bindings. My guess is that you are updating this property via a background-thread?
In this case, you need to marshal the property change onto the UI thread via the Dispatcher.
public bool IsBusy
        return this._isBusy;
        if (value == this._isBusy)

        Application.Current.Dispatcher.BeginInvoke(() => {
          this._isBusy = value;

"invalid cross-thread access" when calculating a route - Windows phone 8

Does that help The "invalid cross-thread access" usually occurs when trying to update the UI from a background thread. In your case, I believe it's when you try to update the myMap control.
To update the control from the UI thread, you can use the Dispatcher.BeginInvoke method:
private async void update_position()
    Geoposition myGeoposition = await myGeolocator.GetGeopositionAsync();
    Geocoordinate myGeocoordinate = myGeoposition.Coordinate;
    myPosition = CoordinateConverter.ConvertGeocoordinate(myGeocoordinate);
    Dispatcher.BeginInvoke(() =>
            this.myMap.Center = myPosition;
            this.myMap.ZoomLevel = 16;
        case PositionStatus.Ready:
            // the location service is generating geopositions as specified by the tracking parameters
            status = "ready";
            Dispatcher.BeginInvoke(() => update_route());

wish help you to fix your issue I'm coming from VB 6 and am semi-new to VB.NET. I'm writing a Windows Phone 8 application. There's a grid in which I have several textBlocks that I want to dynamically display data from a file stream (that contains scanned data). , The solution is indeed to use the Dispatcher.BeginInvoke method.
Dispatcher.BeginInvoke(() =>
    tbl1.Text = ""
    tbl1.Visibility = System.Windows.Visibility.Collapsed

Why do I get "Invalid cross-thread access" when using Dispatcher.BeginInvoke()?
