this one helps. It's not possible in Gitorious at the moment/maybe never. There is an outstanding merge request at the moment here but there is no update as to when it will hit the mainline (i.e. Gitorious.org). If you want private repositories then you need to host Gitorious yourself - it's easy enough to install, and then make the entire install private.

it fixes the issue The documentation is a little misleading. The plugin has a default execution phase of package but there is no default goal. I believe that you have specify a goal in order for the plugin to work.

As for where the projects actually live... if you click on one (on a page that isn't blank) You get to the project page for that project, e.g., when I click on Qt on page 1 I go to https://qt.gitorious.org/qt on the right hand side of that page there is a list of repositories. I assume that's what you're looking for.
