Porting C++ serial port parity change code from Linux to Windows

Does that help The equivalent operation on Windows is to call SetCommState with the appropriate flag in the Parity member of the passed DCB structure. It does have support for mark parity and space parity.

this will help Achieved much better result by moving the read logic into the SerialError handler. Removed the Read() function and the readThread thread.

stty serial port settings for parity not persistent

I wish this help you The stty command is simply a method from the shell to utilize the termios API. Application programs are expected to use the termios API to configure the serial terminal to the exact requirements of the situation (rather than rely on an expected configuration on startup). #define SERIALTERMINAL "/dev/ttyS0"
#include <errno.h>
#include <fcntl.h>
#include <stdio.h>
#include <stdlib.h>
#include <string.h>
#include <termios.h>
#include <unistd.h>
int set_interface_attribs(int fd, int speed)
{
struct termios tty;
if (tcgetattr(fd, &tty) < 0) {
printf("Error from tcgetattr: %s\n", strerror(errno));
return -1;
}
cfsetospeed(&tty, (speed_t)speed);
cfsetispeed(&tty, (speed_t)speed);
