file.delete() returns false even though file.exists(), file.canRead(), file.canWrite(), file.canExecute() all return tru

around this issue It was pretty odd the trick that worked. The thing is when I have previously read the content of the file, I used BufferedReader. After reading, I closed the buffer.
Meanwhile I switched and now I'm reading the content using FileInputStream. Also after finishing reading I close the stream. And now it's working.

xsl file using properties.xml file in order to transform an xml file into the xml file with custom tags defined in prope

Any of those help Your example file is not well formed, but if you fix that, and your property file is prop.xml, this should work:
<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0"
        xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">

<xsl:template match="*">
 <xsl:variable name="n" select="name()"/>
 <xsl:variable name="new">
  <xsl:for-each select="document('prop.xml')">
   <xsl:choose>
    <xsl:when test="key('n',$n)">
     <xsl:value-of select="key('n',$n)"/>
    </xsl:when>
    <xsl:otherwise>
     <xsl:value-of select="$n"/>
    </xsl:otherwise>
   </xsl:choose>
  </xsl:for-each>
 </xsl:variable>
 <xsl:element name="{$new}">
  <xsl:copy-of select="@*"/>
  <xsl:apply-templates/>
 </xsl:element>
</xsl:template>

<xsl:key name="n" match="Property" use="@value"/>

</xsl:stylesheet>
 <xsl:element name="{$new}" namespace="{namespace-uri()}">
<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0"
        xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">

<xsl:template match="/">
 <xsl:apply-templates select="//def"/>
</xsl:template>

<xsl:template match="*">
 <xsl:variable name="n" select="name()"/>
 <xsl:variable name="new">
  <xsl:for-each select="document('prop.xml')">
   <xsl:choose>
    <xsl:when test="key('n',$n)">
     <xsl:value-of select="key('n',$n)"/>
    </xsl:when>
    <xsl:otherwise>
     <xsl:value-of select="$n"/>
    </xsl:otherwise>
   </xsl:choose>
  </xsl:for-each>
 </xsl:variable>
 <xsl:element name="{$new}" namespace="{namespace-uri()}">
  <xsl:copy-of select="@*"/>
  <xsl:apply-templates/>
 </xsl:element>
</xsl:template>

<xsl:key name="n" match="Property" use="@value"/>

</xsl:stylesheet>

AppleScript to read text file containing file names, search for each file name, and if a file is found copy it to a fold

Any of those help Sorry to ask a question without even pasting my coding attempt, but I've never used AppleScript before and I have no idea how I would do this. I've found bits of code online that do small parts of each step of this, but some of the key parts I can't figure out how to do. If I can get this figured out it would save a lot of time. Basically my problem is that a client sent over thousands of photos, all in multiple levels of sub folders, along with an Excel document containing about 300 file names that I need to pull out and use. I can copy the file names from the Excel document into a plain text file, either multi-line or comma separated. , You can try something along the lines of:
set newFolder to POSIX path of (path to desktop as text) & "Found Photos"
do shell script "mkdir -p " & quoted form of newFolder
set filePaths to paragraphs of (read (choose file with prompt "Select file list") as «class utf8»)
set fileFolder to POSIX path of (choose folder with prompt "Select folder containing files")

set foundFiles to {}
repeat with fileName in filePaths
    set fileName to (contents of fileName)
    set xxx to do shell script "find " & quoted form of fileFolder & " -name " & quoted form of fileName
    if xxx ≠ "" then
        tell application "System Events" to move file xxx to newFolder
        set end of foundFiles to fileName & return
    end if
end repeat

set foundFiles to (foundFiles as text)
do shell script "echo " & quoted form of foundFiles & " > " & quoted form of POSIX path of ((path to desktop as text) & "FoundFiles.txt")

I didn't get the file name i,e zip file while using the file input method,o/p file type is file and i want zip file with

wish of those help There are some issues in your code.
1- let's assume what you read are already zip files. In this case you should change the response.setContentType and the response.setHeader parts as follows
    response.setContentType("application/zip");
    response.setHeader("Content-Disposition","inline; filename=" + fileName );
int flag=0;
for(File file : files){
    if(file.isFile()){
        filesListInDir.add(file.getAbsolutePath()); // what is the utility of this ??
        if(file.getName().equalsIgnoreCase(fileName)){
            flag = 1;
            response.setContentType("application/zip");
    response.setHeader("Content-Disposition","inline; filename=" + fileName );

            session.setAttribute("fileName", file.getName());
            FileInputStream fileInputStream = new FileInputStream(file.getPath());
            int i;
            while ((i=fileInputStream.read()) != -1) {
               out.write(i);
            }//closes while
            fileInputStream.close();
            out.close();
            return; //you finished if you sent the file
         }  // closes if(file.getName().equalsIgnoreCase(fileName))
    } // closes if(file.isFile())

}// closes for

//following block moved after the for so it prints at most once
if(flag == 0){
    System.out.println("file not match");
    out.print("Answer is not uploaded");
}
